Which room?

We've never stayed at Harrah's or Bally's but they both have good rates for the first nite of our September trip. We need to stay on the strip that nite because the Barrett-Jackson show is going on and we want to go and my husband doesn't want to rent a car. We were looking at the Harrah's deluxe room or Bally's North Tower deluxe as they both are the same price. Any info, pro or con, on either of these rooms would be greatly appreciated.
They're both pretty comparable to one another, nothing special. We always like Harrahs, it's closer to Casino Royale where I play alot of VP (best paytables on the strip). However, you may want to be closer to Mandalay Bay where Barrett-Jackson is. In that case Ballys would be the shorter walk.

Ballys north tower has. Bigger roooms and is mid strip. Easy access to the monorail station. Would be my first choice.
Harrahs rooms are older style but clean.
Both are good choices.
Ballys. Walkway to Bellagio, just down the hall from Paris, Monorail stop, decent Steakhouse.

I do like the Carnaval Court at Harrahs, but I like Ballys a little better.
