Marcis, let me clarify something that I incorrectly assumed was obvious to all. What is 0.80 X the percentage of Democrat voters? Assuming Democrats make up 50% of the population, we would multiply 0.80 X 0.50 = 40%. Okay, you are correct, that 0.80 number is too low..............90% of Democrats are "Takers".

80% you say ? A similar statement (altho not as high as the 4/5ths you speak of) was trotted out by a Mr. Romney at a private fundraiser at some gazillionaire's house in Florida a while back.

As far as laughing at farmers......I don't laugh. I criticize. Why ? Because they are one of the biggest employers of ILLEGAL ALIENS in this country. In my county, there are an estimated 30,000 + illegal aliens working.........most in the agricultural industry. Hired hands on grain farms, migrant workers on vegetable farms, laborers on the hundreds of sod farms in the area, ect....
Why do these farmers hire the illegals ? Because the farmers know they can pay them a less than living wage, and less than minimum, and get away with it. Who are the illegals going to complain to ? NOBODY.
And another thing....the grain farmers in my county are some of the biggest WELFARE RECIPIENTS in the country. They pray for a poor harvest, or for a devastating hail storm........they make more money that way ....than if they had a bumper crop. Federal crop insurance, and other assorted farm welfare programs, takes care of them very, very nicely.
And as soon as the politicians start talking about taking away, or cutting back on the farm welfare programs........you ought to hear all the whining, crying, bellyaching, moaning, whimpering and sobbing from the multi millionaire farmers around here.
Not going to even comment much about big oil. Everybody knows that big oil (do I hear a shout out to the marvelous Koch Brothers) has been in bed with the Republican Party for decades. They are scum. Price fixing is probably the least of their crimes.
You Richpublicans have been crying about losing the White House for going on 6 years now. You're going to be shedding a lot more tears in 2016 and 2020 and 2024 and so on.....and so on.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again.
HATING on women
HATING on minorities
HATING on the LGBT folks
HATING on young people
HATING on humans that don't look like you, or dress like you, or act like you
creating laws that make it more difficult for minorities to vote
creating laws that tell a woman what she can, and can't do, with her body
stonewalling on immigration reform
All that I mentioned above is why the GOP is a dinosaur, and way out of step with the times. You may try to buy elections, and in some cases (once again....Koch Brothers), you have been a tad successful at that. But MOST of America is wise to what the GOP is up to.
Only the sheep that tune in to Faux TV or plaster their ears to the AM fright wing radio have yet to figure out they are part of a political party......that is headed the way of the passenger pigeon.
