Who "does" Thanksgiving in Vegas?

I guess it's never too early to start deciding where we will have Tgiving dinner. I thought we might do a buffet to keep it as un-traditional as we can for those more deeply set in their bereavement. However, the thought of long lines and re assurances that everyone will be "fine" I am looking for a nice middle ground restaurant for 9 to 11 people. Right now I am leaning toward Comme Ca at the Cosmo.

I have never been there on Thanksgiving, but I've gone up there on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Generally I find it to be a relaxed weekend with below average Vegas crowds in town.

One time I was up there for a continuing education seminar and the hotel served turkey dinner (unused from Thanksgiving) for lunch. The air conditioning was off and the room was well over 80 degrees. The instructor finally said that the hotel was trying to put us all asleep.

I would just hope at buffets they would have a turkey at the carving station and not a hot dish of sliced turkey that is similar to deli turkey.

Well, I'm behind the times as usual. Comme Ca closed last March.

Since I moved to Vegas I've eaten so many Turkey Dinners at so many buffets.

I already know that I'm making Thanksgiving dinner at home.

Also, .... It's nice to have all the leftovers.

Thanksgiving is the only major holiday that I haven't spent in Las Vegas at least once. I do think a restaurant instead of a buffet would be the best option for dinner, as I think you should be able to make reservations and avoid lines.

We had TG at Comme Ca a couple years ago. It was too "gourmet" for me to get my turkey and stuffing fix.

Steakhouse at Circus Circus does a very nice traditional TG dinner. We went there last year and might go again this year.

We've been out for Thanksgiving a few times. First time we got dinner reservations at Hanks steakhouse at GVR (we were staying there) for Thanksgiving, which worked out great as the lines for the buffet were insane. In general we've avoided the buffets on Thanksgiving and eaten at other restaurants. Usually the day after there is plenty of Thanksgiving-style food still at the buffet.
