After 8 years in the White House, I still don't claim to know half as much about our President (who is on the TV pretty much every night) as Lurker seems to know about certain posters on this board. I must not be psychotic.

All DonDiego wants to know is what the terms mean, so that he can assess how/if they apply to him, . . . or if Lurker Poster is in error in so characterizing poor old DonDiego, so that DonDiego may set him straight. [note 2]

note 1: DonDiego did find a statement in The Dallas Morning News that Sands Corporation Chairman and CEO Sheldon Adelson "found the Senator [Cruz] `too right wing’ ." But Mr. Adelson has objected to this characterization of his opinion.

note 2: DonDiego has noted an unpleasant trend on the LVA in which folks who apparently disagree with one another resort to name calling, . . . or at least "adjective-tossing", . . . instead of meaningful debate. Why heckfire!, DonDiego has even noticed it right here in this thread, . . . already.

Celebrities from Clint Eastwood to Barbra Streisand have an outsized opinion of their effect on public opinion. It turns out no one really cares what they think. Celebs who want to intelligently encourage activism do it by making public appearances and firing up the crowds, so that organizers can then harvest email addresses, volunteers, contributions, and so on.

Malibber was merely providing a comparative basis so Don Diego could ponder the deep question of how conservative is too conservative.

I question his allegiance to the party. I don’t know how often you’ve heard him say the word ‘Republican’ — not very often. Instead, Mr. Cruz uses the word conservative. There’ll be wholesale losses if he’s the nominee. Our party is not that far right.

There was more, but I believe that what I quoted is enough of a basis to legitimately claim he was saying Cruz is too conservative.

No no, don't start creating new twists to this discussion. You question how the heck I could know so much about someone without EVER MEETING THEM. So I ask you again, how many times have you and others on this board met Obama??? Oh and talking about visibility, DD has close to 10000 posts on this forum....
