Why don’t Republicans care about blue lives?

Quote

With fears of impending violence mounting on the eve of the Republican National Convention, the head of Cleveland’s largest police union called for Ohio Gov. John Kasich to temporarily ban open carrying of guns as crowds of protesters and politicians arrived in town before the Republican National Convention.

A spokeswoman for Kasich said Sunday that the governor could not suspend open carry at the convention

But a Second Amendment advocacy group called Ohio Carry celebrated the response from the governor’s office.
“We applaud Governor Kasich, as he knows you don’t simply suspend the constitution because you have a big event,” Ohio Carry wrote on its Facebook page. “That is outlandish and dangerous. Thank you Governor Kasich for not entertaining such a notion.

I hope there's no gun violence during the Convention. What could possibly go wrong with large crowds of armed Americans? At least they aren't giving away free beer.
What a pure cheap ass thread. I really have to wonder if the author of the thread has any sincerity and integrity or if he or she is a cheap ass political whore?
What is cheap about it? The head of the Police union is requesting in writing that the Governor suspend open carry in the area around the convention because his officers fear for their lives. That sounds like common sense to me.

The Governor says, no he is not going to do that. He says he is powerless to do so because of the Second Amendment. I note they weren't powerless to do anything inside the convention hall that is going to be full of open carry advocates and where someone from the NRA is going to give a speech.

To me, that is true demonstration of cowardice. These pro-gun politicians advocate for all these liberal gun laws saying guns make people safer, but when their own safety is on the line, they don't want guns anywhere near them. Then they all sit on their hands and say they are powerless to do anything when it comes to the safety of the police officers and people on the street out near the convention. Hypocritical cowards every last one of them.

Hey! Is this the same Steve Loomis head of Cleveland's largest police union who just said that Obama has “validated the false narrative and the nonsense that Black Lives Matter and the media are pressing out there,” and he said the president has “blood on his hands” that he won’t be able to wash off.

Police Union Chief claims President Has Blood on His Hands.
When your Governor won't take common sense steps to reduce the risk of gun battles in the streets of Cleveland and you believe your President has the blood of your law enforcement brethren on his hands, it's a tough time to be blue.

Golly, Alan, are you saying he is fellow right winger and the governor still will not listen to him? In what kind of sane world do we ban tennis balls because of safety concerns, but allow everyone to strap a glock on each hip and carry an AR-15 in each arm?

Well actually I'm saying he is a policeman and he feels our Democrat President's lack of leadership has contributed to this mess with 'Blood on his Hands'.

I bet he also feels let down by his Republican Governor who couldn't find a way to prevent open carry of firearms by mutually hostile groups at a major political convention.

So we have a feckless Republican Governor who won't take common sense steps to prevent potential gun violence in the streets and a Democrat President who has apparently inspired police assassinations to the point the Police Union Chief of Cleveland claims he 'has blood on his hands'.

We're goin' to Hell in a hand basket.

I just find it ironic that your thread titled "Why don’t Republicans care about blue lives?" is based upon the request for action from the Union Boss who just claimed President Obama and therefore Democrats 'have blood on their hands'. Don't you find that ironic?

No, I don't. A blind squirrel finds an acorn every once and a while.
