Why don’t Republicans care about blue lives?

Maybe Union Boss Loomis can petition President Obama to use an executive order to suspend open carry for the week. The Secret Service decreed no guns would be allowed at the convention, so I'm sure it's well within his expanded powers.

Or maybe neither President Obama not Governor Kasich care about blue lives....Or maybe...Neither actually has the authority.

Maybe they should have thought about this earlier....although I think there have been a couple of threads here that mentioned the potential for shootouts. They should have listened to us.
There is absolutely nothing in the Constitution that says the Secret Service can suspend the 2nd Amendment. And that is sort of the point. The pro-gun politicians and the NRA could have defended the 2nd Amendment (in court) if they really wanted to allowing people to carry guns into the conventional hall, but they didn't. Why? Could it be they don't buy their own horse shit about open carry making people safer? Anyway, Alan, you are trying to confuse the issue by changing the subject. The issue is how come Republicans aren't supportive of police officers requests to keep them safer, but they are supportive of keeping themselves safer?
Open carry is for public domains. A private event on private property is allowed to make whatever rules they want. And no, republicans are that smart, yet liberals want to force private bakeries to make cakes for gay people. Yes and I hate labels, but liberals are on my ever last nerve and if November doesn't come soon......

And yes, Obama and the press should be charged with a dozen crimes and I can't believe no one is crying out for his resignation and impeachment. This is ridiculous....inciting riots, racism, discrimination, acts against the constitution, abuse of power, hate crimes, aiding and abetting, accessory to murder and more. And not just in relation to this black power/cop killing movement, but internationally and the whole prisoner of war exchange, etc etc etc.....why is no one calling for his resignation. He is a danger to society. Again and again and again.

“We are sending a letter to Governor Kasich requesting assistance from him,” [Stephen] Loomis [President of the Cleveland Police Patrolmen’s Association] told CNN. “He could very easily do some kind of executive order or something — I don’t care if it’s constitutional or not at this point."

It appears that Governor Kasich does care that it is unconstitutional.

I don't think it's changing the subject to point out the very people you claim Republicans don't support actually blame the Democrats for putting them in harms way in the first place. If I was trying to change the subject I would have said something like "I found a rare Pokémon in my poop today".

There is absolutely nothing in the Constitution that says the Secret Service can suspend the 2nd Amendment.
"Title 18 United States Code Sections 3056 and 1752 provides the Secret Service authority to preclude firearms from entering sites visited by our protectees, including those located in open-carry states," Secret Service spokesman Robert K. Hoback said in a statement. "Only authorized law enforcement personnel working in conjunction with the Secret Service for a particular event may carry a firearm inside of the protected site."

The 2nd Amendment does not allow you to carry a firearm at a 'protected site'. President Obama only has to declare Cleveland a 'Protected Site' and he will prove he cares more than Kasich about Blue Lives.

Wait a minute ! ! !

Did alanleroyII just say: "I found a rare Pokémon in my poop today".

Holy-Moly !

DonDiego says expect a crowd at alanleroyII's house today, . . . or somewhere along his hometown's sewage lines, if he didn't hold onto it.

Hey! Is this the same Steve Loomis head of Cleveland's largest police union who just said that Obama has “validated the false narrative and the nonsense that Black Lives Matter and the media are pressing out there,” and he said the president has “blood on his hands” that he won’t be able to wash off...
Confused again? Here, let me explain. As a union leader, Loomis considers his job to protect ALL of his union members, both the good cops and the bad cops. In making his request about open carry, he is attempting to protect all cops. In criticizing Black Lives Matter, he is mostly protecting mostly the bad ones.

There, I hope that clears things up for you.
"In criticizing Black Lives Matter, he is mostly protecting mostly the bad ones."

You pretend in this thread to be looking out for the police in Cleveland, but what your real agenda is to make sure law abiding citizens don't have guns. Your above quote shows that you really don't support the police, as once again you assume the police are guilty, even though in case after case (see today) the police are proven to be correct in these high profile incidents.

I'm not confused. You are. Union Boss Loomis didn't Criticize Black Lives Matter; he criticized President Obama and the Governor of Minnesota. Perhaps if you had actually bothered to read his words you wouldn't be so confused....Ninnie.

Here. I'll help you.

"It's absolutely insane that we have a president of the United States and a governor of Minnesota making the statements they made less than one day after the police-involved shootings," said an emotional Loomis.

"And those police-involved shootings, make no mistake, are what absolutely have triggered this rash of senseless murders of law enforcement officers across this country. It's reprehensible. And the president of the United States has blood on his hands that will not be able to come washed off."

Steve Loomis.

See nothing at all about Black Lives Matter. I hope this clears things up for you. He's not 'protecting bad cops'. He's telling us who cops think are partly responsible with 'Blood on his hands that will not be able to come washed off'. Maybe if you read my post a few more times you'll figure out who he's referring to.
