Why I'm disappointed in the Republicans

And this is the reason why you're disappointed in the Republican party? Really? But then again, that doesn't really surprise me.

On a more serious note, bith parfties continue to ignore the national debt, as well as the ss & medicare funding shortfalls. Within 20 years 100% of the tax revenues will go to interest, ss & medicare payments. there will be no money for any otherr govt services.

Maybe we could sell our territories to China for a few trillion. Do we really need Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the US Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands? Then we could sell off a portion of the millions of acres of unused Federal land in the Western states. Finally take a look at all Federal assets that can be liquidated with the least pain....consolidate military bases, sell buildings that can be consolidated or leased back....on and on and on..... Then move to an Accrual Based Accounting system and pass a constitutional amendment to Balance the federal budget....Won't be long and we'll be debt free!

I would have sang for far less...and i bring about the same celebrity rank as Scott Baio
