why so much negativity towards the locals casinos?

The Grizz look pretty good. They were smart and picked up former Michigan State star Zac Randolph.

Think they'll win tonight?
I hope so. The Spurs are my least favorite team.
Nashville Predators also.

I was just teasing KarenTN about the Vols fading out of competitive college football. Speaking of fading though, the Titans will soon be struggling to beat my Detroit Lions if they don't right their ship.
and as for locals casinos........

I'm from Massachusetts. I don't like our locals casinos (Mohegan Sun & Foxwoods). When I go to Vegas, I like the locals casinos there more. They treat me much better.

We've been going to Vegas for 20+ years, The first 3 or 4 years we were strictly strip then, we discovered local casinos and haven't been back to the strip (except for shows and eats) The local casino are much more friendly and we think the machines have better pay schedules (VP).

That's just not true at all. AC, Biloxi, Foxwoods, Mohegan, even Pennsylvania, not to mention Reno, Laughlin and Tahoe all have free booooooze-or I would never go there.

Which is a small amount when compared to all the casinos that don't offer it or aren't allowed to offer it outside the Vegas area. Ohio (when done building), Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Kansas all don't offer it at all. Even in Michigaan, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Iowa where casinos are allowed to give away free alcohol the majority of them don't offer free alcohol. Get out of the Vegas, AC, and Biloxi areas and it's not common to find free alcohol.

My local casino (Dover Downs) by law can not give away alcohol. I drink Coors Light at the tables for $2 with a $1 tip. I usually tip $2 for a free one in Vegas/AC, so the extra $1 will not break me. Cocktails are $2 + $3.
I also bring a bottle of vodka and make my own cocktails. The pit bosses are aware and do not care.
