Wife thinks I should get out more.

This maybe titled, Nothing new under the sun. I went to a casino this week that had sent me $115 in free play. I never frequent this casino and was in the neighborhood, so I dropped in. I saw two things while exploring he premises, I've never seen before. One was the latest style of Jukebox, type in the song title and up comes the song, no matter how obscure. I was in awe.

The next amazing thing was an automatic toilet seat wrapper. It blew me away. I returned home later and excitedly told the wife about the wonderful new discoveries I had found. She was a little impressed with the high tech Jukebox. The news of the high-tech toilet seat was old news to her. I asked her, if she had known of such a wonderful thing, how come I was never enlightened. She shrugs and says, I thought everyone knew.

Is this one of those, Men and women think different, things?

Hmm, . . . . DonDiego didn't know about the automatic toilet set wrapper; any mention of an automatic anything on DonDiego's excretory appliances sends warning signals across his brain. Be wary !

DonDiego posits another question for cjen3349"s consideration: Where does cjen3349 suppose his wife will be while he is "getting out more" ?

Yeah, that toilet seat wrapper is a scary thought, to my unscientific mind. Did you try it out? Details, please.

More importantly, did you profit from the $115 in Free Play? I'm impressed that you got that much in Free Play from a casino you "never frequent." Sounds like you had an interesting day there, though. Thanks for sharing.
I did activate the toilet seat wrapper. It slides plastic wrap, counter clockwise around the toilet seat. I have talked to one other lady that was familiar with it, and she said it was old news. So it must be more prevalent in Women's restrooms. Am I the only male to have seen one?

The casino is a sister property to the Downstream casino, where I do have a history of strong play. The $115 is what I receive weekly from the Downstream and the smaller casino has been matching it. I have friends that have also been receiving similar free play from the sister property and they've never been to it. I did profit from the free play but took the winnings to The Downstream and lost it on Pai Gow.

I surmise that my wife will continue what she's been doing, If I do get out more. She stays busy with grandchildren and involved with community outreach programs. Easing the plight of the homeless, the poor, the less fortunate, the hungry and the downtrodden. The ranks of which I may be joining if I don't get my gambling in check.

DonDiego opines that it slides the plastic wrap clockwise around the toilet seat if one is south of the equator.
Thanks, cjen3349, for how the toilet auto cover works. I have never seen one.

Since retirement I'm doing similar "community outreach" stuff like your wife. It does not boost my bank account at all; rather it depletes it as I donate more materials for projects, cook more for the activities (groceries are getting higher and higher), on and on.

So, as the nephew in "The Christmas Carol" said, though it doesn't profit me, it does me more good, like getting me off my duff instead of watching TV all day.

I'm glad I don't live close to casinos, or I'd sure be eating from a food bank.

I saw a guy's hat that read "RETIRED: No boss, no clock, no phone...no money! Ha.
I can't believe you'd never seen an automatic toilet seat "wrapper" yet! I THINK the first place I saw these was Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, MN - but they've had them at least a couple years I'd say! You usually see them in very public, populated potty rooms.....
I think I get out as much as anyone and I have never seen the toilet seat thingy. as Homer would say..
I'm highly concerned about a "malfunction". ?!?!?
As I am on a Vegas tirade due to the paid parking and being very unhappy with that. Of which, I really, really am very unhappy. But my Vegas speech usually entails me saying that I can't live anywhere else due to the public bathrooms being cleaner than my own home. Of which, my parents are clean freaks so my bathrooms are pretty clean and thinking that regular life is five star world class hotels. Vegas makes pretty much anything seem mundane and normal. I have been told I am "hard to impress". One, don't try to impress me with, just be my friend. And two, I live in Vegas. The weirdness or opulence never ceases.
