Will the lights go out in Appalachia this time?

Another government shutdown is planned Congressmen upset about Planned Parenthood is the reason this time around.

1) Keep funding an organization selling body parts of aborted fetuses - some in the third trimester OR

2) Stand up for your principles against a group of politicians who would prefer to keep this practice in place even if it means some non-essential services are affected.

What would Jesus do? What would you do?

I remember when the "non-essential" monuments were shut down in DC during the last one. Republicans and our resident conservatives desperately tried to point fingers at Obama after bragging about the shutdown for the week leading up to it. It was pretty funny.

Probably remind people what happens when crazy people get too much power: they shut down the govenment over abortion - and spend 70 million dollars looking for BigFoot in Bengazhi

PJ - I'm glad you are comfortable that your tax dollars are used to fund an organization that sells body parts of aborted 3rd term aborted fetuses.....I am not.

I am also willing to take a stand to change this intolerable situation --- because this is an issue worthy of such a stand.

And lucky for you there are plenty of people in Congress that share your opinion. Unfortunately for you the general public does not. Planned Parenthoods approval ratings are higher than any current candidate for president in either party.

Planned Parenthood approval ratings
How many on this site can tell a story how the shutdown negatively effected their lives? I don't know of one person who's life didn't move along without issue during the partial shutdown.
It is obama & the minority party of NO that is threatening the shutdown over 1 spending item.

As Don Diego said - the lights still came on. And if thats your bar for measuring impact of government shutdowns then probably no big deal.

But for people like Boilerman who constantly complain about the government interfering with business - the economic impact of the last shutdown was measured to be 24 BILLION dollars.
Washington Post

Ya know - so there's that

So exactly how much is the value of human life these days?

In the case of Freddy Gray it was $6.4m. So if we multiply $6.4m by the 330,000 abortions performed each year by the GOVERNMENT FUNDED group (planned parenthood), the annual cost is $2.112 TRILLION. That kinda dwarfs your number doesn't it PJ?

How much did Dr. Ben Carson, currently number the 2 Republican presidential candidate in polling, pay for the aborted fetuses he experimented on?
