COMPETITION:

Choctaw Casino (up 75 from Dallas) is now in the process of building a much bigger casino hotel complex. I have no doubt that it will rival WIN STAR when finished.
The new South casino is open.

Life goes on...

Surprises me that anything is larger than the Foxwood's Casino.
Do they have real "Vegas Style" (Class III?) slot machines?
The machines are real tight and the crap games are played with a deck of cards. The worst part is no comp drinks.

I haven't been to WinStar in a while, but this was a very nice Christmas gift I received from them in 2012....

According to vpfree, the playable progressives are still intact at the Rome and London bars.

I hate the casino there, so when I do go it is for concerts...and maybeee to play $20 of video poker.
I'm still wondering how long before Texas realizes there is a lot of revenue leaving the state to LA & OK for the casinos and makes casinos legal in Texas.

I believe the theory is that the casino revenue tends to stay at the casino. So it doesn't matter where the casino is.

In other words, Texas would be happiest if there were no casinos in LA and OK. But there are, so Texas would like to gain from those casinos without opening casinos in Texas.

World's largest casino and only 1,000 rooms.
With Dallas in less then an hour drive, winstar world doesn't really need a lot of rooms. Gainville is seven miles down the road and you have your pick of hotels. Room at winstar start at $130 a night and go up. Weekend rooms start at over $200 and thats with a players card.
