Was playing 7/5 bonus with multiple progressives the other day at one of my local joints. Was dealt a suited JT9 along with another 9 and a garbage card. I held the 9s, and the first two cards on the draw were KQ suited to the other three flush cards. I know the extra time required to hold the three flush cards most certainly would have resulted in a different draw. But it still was quite frustrating.
Out of curiosity I checked the hand on my analyzer when I got home. The SF progressive at the time was at $91 and the 5-K 4K progressive was at $32. As it turned out, the correct hold by a fair margin was the pair. The straight flush needed to reach about $118 before it would surpass the 4K at $32.
So at least I know that I was technically correct. Financially poorer, but technically correct.
