Word Association (songs only)

Goodnight Irene...various artists.

Bags, the post right before this one would have been a good one for you to question. For example, does "Goodnight" = "Tonight" or does "Sweetheart" = "Sugar". I believe that Goodnight and Tonight are two completely different words that share some of the same letters. Does that mean I can use "The" and "She" interchangeably since they contain some of the same letters?
