World Wide Web Controversy

Sorry to start up one more endless debate on this forum, but my fiance and I have been arguing about this all morning long.

What is the color of this dress?

If this question can be amicably resolved, world peace may not be far behind.
I've been hearing about this. It is white and gold to me.

Definitely chartreuse and fuchsia.

linky

OK, that was crazy strange.

I might just be remembering wrong but when I first saw the picture the dress was very washed out and of indeterminate color. Then I scrolled down, clicked clcjim's link and read the article. When I went back to the post the dress appeared in the colors of the article.

I am now convinced that the internets is a mind control device.

Even my wife ask me about this. (I had seen it previously)

Which, of course, brings to mind a related question that has stymied mankind for centuries, namely:

What color is a rat’s ass??

Thanks to this thread, we now know the answer:

It depends.

I think it's fascinating that people see so it differently.
