Would a vile restaurant review deter you from visiting that restaurant?

I read reviews for a restaurant. 90% were good. I want to try the food there.

I read one review where the person found a finger nail in their food.

It makes sick to think about it and not sure I want to go any more. Am I overreacting?
Go and enjoy. Stop reading reviews.

There are just way too many restaurants to choose from, so why go to one that has issues ?

Finger nails aren't so bad. I draw the line at whole fingers.

I think you need to look at the overall trend of the reviews and then make a judgement.

A disgruntled ex-employee could post harmful information on a place that is not true. On the other hand, a restaurant can pad a site with good reviews that were written by their employees and friends.
One nail does not seal the coffin. I would go with the 90% favorable reviews.
I don't pay attention to reviews of any sort. If I want to eat or stay somewhere or go to a certain movie, I do not let reviews sway my decision.
normally ignore one or two bad complaints.... but if you notice many complaints from different walks of life then I would be biting my nails if I had to eat there.

If you don't pay attention to reviews, you base your dining decision on what exactly? The sign?
Sometimes reviews are written by vindicitve ex-employees who were fired. TripAdvisor keeps track of people and their reviews and makes them register explicitly for that purpose. I find it to be a better resource than Yahoo/Google.
