Thanks for a great report, westie - love the food porn!
Westie:

As usual an exceptionally well thought out trip and report. I always am able to find an obscure hidden restaurant gem in your reports that I might want to try. Thanks.

I don't have your adventurous spirit though when it comes to trying out as many restaurants off the beaten path as do you. But I guess you've got to kiss a lot of frogs to find the restaurants that are of princely quality.

Great report and pictures as always.

Four other quick things:

1. It appears we were both at the same Michael Grimm show at Sunset Station on the same night. Sorry I didn't see/recognize you or your wife otherwise I would have said hello.

2. During your week+ beating at the GVR FPDW machines, apparently I made all the money that you lost at those same FPDW machines during much of the same period as you were there.

3. I got the same type of box of chocolates at GVR as did you. For future reference I ate mine and did not fall victim to any laxative effects.

4. Lastly, I've also stayed at Grandview in the past (although not this time) and have enjoyed staying there as well.

In case you didn't see the many places where we might have crossed paths during much of the time you were there this trip, you can see them in my recent trip report at:

Thanks again,

I was glad to see a meal that actually rated your five (5) forks.

Thanks for the time and trouble for all the photos and descriptions, and humor.

I was worried for your safety when you mentioned that you had OJ in your room.

My wife complains that I am too tough when it comes to ratings and I agree.
Here is my ratings distribution on yelp:

5 stars 34
4 stars 293
3 stars 318
2 stars 167
1 star 55

-------------I would have loved meeting you. We try to catch him whenever we are in town.

2. During your week+ beating at the GVR FPDW machines, apparently I made all the money that you lost at those same FPDW machines during much of the same period as you were there.
-------------Good to learn someone was hitting them. This is the worst trip/year we have had since we
-------------started playing FPDW 12 years ago. I guess the odds finally caught up with me.

3. I got the same type of box of chocolates at GVR as did you. For future reference I ate mine and did not fall victim to any laxative effects.
-------------actually is was hard candy and it did not taste very good.

4. Lastly, I've also stayed at Grandview in the past (although not this time) and have enjoyed staying there as well.
------------this was about the 4th or 5th time we have stayed there and we love it.

----------I will check out asap.

-----thanks for reading my report

Hi Frank:

I also noticed in your trip report that when you went to the Bellagio you said "we drove to Ballys/Paris where we parked, hoofed it over to Bellagio, and caught the tram to Aria "

Was that to avoid the MGM Resorts parking fees?

ST
Enjoyed reading your trip report, thank for writing.

Yes. In the past we would park on the top level of Bellagio's parking garage, but there is no way
I am going to pay a parking fee when there are viable alternatives and I am fully capable of walking.
