I was home yesterday recovering from a session with Dr. Roto Rooter and I was watching a History channel series on WW1 and I was thinking that not often discussed anywhere, that the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand was perhaps the most important event of the last 120 years.
The assasination set off a chain of events that is still being felt today. It started WW1, established the US as a world power, caused Russia to collapse and brought on communism, set the stage for Hitler and a few other things.
Maybe we could have a different debate?
