John I can sure relate. My parents had me late in life so I was only 30 when he passed. He was my best friend and I still miss him dearly. Our condolences go out to you and yours.

Sorry for your loss. It makes me think of all of the times I didn't get along with my father, even though I look back today and realize he was right most of the time. We all need to enjoy our parents while we can.
