Very sorry to hear that. As the years go by you will appreciate what a blessing it was to be there as he passed.

I sing/play at quite a few funerals....probably 35-40 a year. On Monday I did 2....one for a 95 year old woman, and one for a 1 day old baby. Every funeral I'm at makes me want to be a better person, makes me appreciate life and my loved ones even more.

John, loosing a Dad sucks, however just focus on all the times you spent together and it will get better. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Thanks all, I do appreciate the thoughts. Probably shouldn't have gotten so personal, but we had just returned and I was up late reflecting (not to mention the first couple beers in a while) and I do consider this place kinda like my online family, having met several and conversing with many of y'all.
