Things went downhill after that.

Don't feel bad DD. When I go to a Mexican restaurant I just order by the numbers rather than try to pronounce it.
Are those all Grouper or are some Snapper mixed in?

They are all grouper. It is hard to get a perspective on how big they are but the smallest was 21 inches. The minimum size for red grouper is 20 inches and for gag 22 inches. We also had a bunch of big grunts. I didn't envy the captain and the mate when they started fileting but I am sure the $100.00 tip didn't hurt.

Believe me I don't take it for granted. Many years ago my father instilled in me a real respect for the power of compounding interest .
Because of that I started maxing out my personal retirement fund 30 years ago
and yes I am one of those on the government tit with a state backed pension after 33 years of fire fighting.

A tip of my hat to your father.
Your father is/was a very wise man. I'm happy that after your long service you are able & willing to

take the time to "smell the roses". I too am retired now 11 1/2 years and find it is even better that

what I imagined. Travelling, golfing, gambling, it's a good life. Enjoy your retirement to the fullest.
