Yet another casino robbery

They used to rob the cages, now they are robbing the tables. You have to wonder if anybody would do this in the old days?

February 24, 2011 Robbery at the Rio: It looks like it happened again. Apparently there was another chip robbery, this one at the Rio last night. More details to come as we get them.

If this were the old days, it might have happened, ONCE..... The guy that did the first one wouldn't have been found except maybe for a shoe or other piece of clothing. Idiot number 2, well, lets just say he wouldn't be leaving the casino alive...............

February 24, 2011 Robbery Update: Not much has been disclosed yet, but it looks like the thief learned from the robbery of $1.5 million in chips from Bellagio in December (that guy got caught trying to convert large-denomination chips into cash), because the take at the Rio was reportedly only $32,000. Also of interest, the perpetrator arrived and left in a cab.

Okay, maybe he took lower denomination chips, but he came and left in a cab? Was it different cabs, or is a cab allowed to wait for someone without having to get back in line?

Are you thinking he would steal chips but not jump to the front to the cab line because taxi line skipping is against the rules?

Here's three real geniuses. The cabbie tapes over the video recorder, which just might be an indication he's going to be doing something he's not supposed to. He forgets however that the audio is still working, thus creating some great evidence. He also felt that the best place to hide the gun used in the robbery would be under the drivers seat where I'm sure no one would ever think to look. It goes on and on. The LVRJ started their article by saying that even Hollywood wouldn't try to have Ocean's Eleven meet the Three Stooges!!!!!!!!!

Good Luck!

The videotape shouldn't be a problem depending upon how many times is was taped over. All of those magnetic 1 and 0's can be placed right back where they were beforehand.

Someone misspoke.
The cab driver placed tape over the camera lens in the cab.
