How do you, the tourist, feel about paying for the new NFL stadium in the form of a 0.88% hotel tax, according to the LVA today's news? My usual hotel bill is usually about $100 for a 2 or 3 night stay so 0.88 cents won't break my budget.
As a probable season ticket holder, my sincere thanks. We couldn't have done it without you. Maybe we could round it up to an even one percent and get a quarterback.
Ha-ha nice come back billyran. I like sports but I hate to deal with crowds, parking, expenses, etc. So I rather watch it on TV. The funny thing is that I'll be paying for the new stadium but I'll probably never get to reap the benefit of me paying for it.
I grew up tailgating. Got there early to beat the traffic, bbq and drink while hanging out. Until I was in college, the games were almost an afterthought as my Giants were horrible. When I was younger, a bunch of kids my age used to have our own game of touch football after halftime, in the parking lot.
Safeco Field also included one half of one percent in sales tax on food and beverage sales for I think it was ten years. This is a fact of life these days and not just for sports stadiums. Taxes also help fund the arts to build museums and performance halls. If the "visitor taxes" involved in a LV trip are a deal breaker, buy a tent and make a res at the nearest state park. Oh wait, that's funded by taxes too! Enjoy your stayvacation at home!
I don't believe that the Raiders have any cap space available to buy a new QB.
