You (tourist) will be paying for the new NFL stadium

I'm hoping the Raiders are coming to Vegas, and as I said earlier, this will be one of the first taxes that I support. Much of the Raider crowds will be people flying or driving in for the weekend to stay at a hotel and to go to a game.
Boiler will not lose any sleep over this new tax, but does realize that Vegas.....and other cities..... chase away business each and every time a tax on visitors is raised.

And thank you for referring to our group as "The Boys". That's still this group's unofficial name, which we were first tagged with while attending Purdue nearly 40 years ago.

With the shortage of weekend rooms,Vegas doesn't need people who are bothered by paying an extra buck a night.

So the tax rate that people pay on a hotel in Vegas is only 1/2%, or is this most recent tax increase instead added to the 20 other tax increases over the years? Folks like Billy argue that these taxes don't chase away customers, and if that's the case, why not increase this tax by 1% each week for the next year?

I've never noticed a Vegas room tax decrease.

if the stadium is such a great deal why didn't the state legislature impose an increased sales tax on the entire state or impose a tax on those buying tickets to events at the new stadium?

Do you ever think before you post or is your filter as defective as your thought process?

It's a buck. Just stiff the cocktail girl one extra time

Vegas is like a second home to the Oakland masses...After the game they could go to Freemont street and be a street performer.
