The Young Invincibles

College students received medical insurance from the schools. However due to obamacare the cost of these policies have doubled.

The larger schools have their own clinics that are either free or low cost

The slow pace of enrollments among young people has already been cause for concern. The White House has estimated that it needs 40 percent of enrollees to be under 35 years old, but early numbers in states where data is available suggest that that number is closer to about 25 percent.

I wonder how high those 2015 premiums will be?

Okay, he's not going to try and defend his bullshit. He's changing the subject again. Okay, I'll play along.

So Mr. hoops2, proof for any of this?

HA!This part shows just how out of tune the kids are today, they don't even know the difference between obamacare and the ACA {shaking head}. duhhh gee, if it's got obamas name on it its gotta be good

"...shows just 29 percent of uninsured 18-to-29-year olds say they will definitely (13 percent) or likely (16 percent) enroll in the Obamacare exchanges. When the question describes the law as the "Affordable Care Act" rather than Obamacare, just 25 percent say the are leaning toward enrolling or will enroll.

The article is absurd.

I deal in trusts and estates. You have parents who have very responsible children and very irresponsible children. Usually the responsible children are left an inheritance free of trust. Many times the irresponsible children are left an inheritance in trust, because they are spendthrifts. What's the point of this? Many pre-30's who are responsible, will have the means and the job skills to be able to relocate to pay for health insurance. Many of them will be actual spendthrifts who think the new car, purse, shoes, dress, or sporting event is more important than their health insurance. The remaining group will want to respond like they are acting responsibly, but when push comes to shove, will not relocate or responsibly pay for health insurance.

chilly - in case you haven't noticed I have declined to respond yo your posts where you talk like an immature 8th grader. I inderstand that you are upset that your redeemer has been shown to not have any clothers so I will make an exception one time.

Here are the facts:

America’s Watchtower previously reported about the issue of college students in New Jersey losing their healthcare coverage due to Obamacare, and predictably this has now spread to several other colleges across the nation, and will continue to do so, so it needs to be covered again.

For decades, universities and colleges have offered students bare-bones policies. But because of the Affordable Care Act, those policies no longer cut it – and universities are forced to decide whether to offer significantly higher-cost plans or cancel coverage altogether.

The new rules affect a broad swath of American schools, especially the small ones.
At Bowie State University in Maryland, the cost of student health insurance policies went from roughly $100 a year to $1,800 a year.

The cancelled plan offered $5,000 worth of medical coverage to students for just $54 per semester. University administrators said an acceptable replacement under the Affordable Care Act would have cost $900 per semester, a 1,500 percent increase

Many students have found themselves in health care limbo this semester. Community colleges in New Jersey used to offer cheap health insurance for hundreds of dollars a year but they had to drop the practice because Federal Law prohibits the sale of bare bones policies.

Under the Affordable Care Act it would have cost more to run the program and the cost would have been passed on to students.

With colleges offering 24 hour doctor/nursing care there isn’t a need for a comprehensive policy.

From the Harvard study

Less than three-in-ten uninsured Millennials say they will definitely or probably enroll in insurance through an exchange if and when they are eligible. That means 29% for the reading impaired.

Since you love obamacare what plan have you signed up for?
The Watchtower? What the heck is that? The Jehovah's Witness pamphlet?

I thought you were trying to support your assertions from above:

So now you're quoting Jehovah's Witness pamphlets? The ones left on bus station trash cans?

You must hang out in more bus stations than I assumed, and I assumed you hung out in a LOT of them!

Wow, it's just great to have an organization you can trust when it comes to consumer issues, isn't it?
