Mitt doesn't get a job, he makes jobs. I've only known a few "home schooled kids", and all five from two families have magnificent jobs. They earned great college degrees, all technically oriented, including a doctor, a nurse, and three engineers.

DonDiego suggests the cause of the difficulty which this young lady is experiencing is a bloated, indifferent, impersonal Government bureaucracy rather than the political or even religious beliefs of her parents [see item ii, below]. If the young lady is, indeed, honest and truthful in her presentation [see note 1, below] she is not lacking "a life", as malibber2 suggests. She is lacking, f'rinstance, a birth certificate, school records, a social security number, and a drivers' license, all just Government credentials, which - with the exception of school records - could be provided by a more responsive, understanding, and benevolent bureaucracy. Unfortunately in the modern world, the Government bureaucracies one is likely to encounter no longer exhibit such qualities, . . .maybe because Government has grown so large as to serve itself before it serves its "subjects".

DonDiego supposes malibber2 is conflating "conservatism" with, . . . umm, . . . well, . . . something else. Maybe "fundamentalist religious practices".
The political philosophy of conservatism, at least as followed in the United States, is generally a recognition that less Government is preferable to more Government.
And that adherence to the US Constitution i. would result in a smaller Government than exists today and ii. would be more interested in protecting the individual freedoms enumerated in the Constitution and especially the Bill of Rights, . . . as opposed to responding to the lobbyists for every real and imagined "cause" so as to enlarge the Government and its own powers, . . . and its bureaucratic inefficiencies.

note 1. If the young lady is not being honest and truthful, none of this discussion is necessary.

note 2. A philosophical observation: For years, perhaps decades, . . . perhaps even longer, . . . people were able to live lives without any such Government credentials, . . even meaningful lives. [See: Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, Plato, etc.] These are remembered as "the good old days".
