Got one tonight at Jumer's Casino & Hotel in Rock Island, Illinois. On quarter Modified 10/7 DB*, held AQJ of hearts, and picked up KT on the draw for $1000.

*Modified 10/7 DB is full pay 10/7 DB with SF and 5-K 4K reduced from 250 to 239 to get the payback under 100% to be in compliance with Illinois gaming law.

I've played this bank of Mod 10/7s for over a year, and finally got my first royal on them. Still running a $2000+ deficit on the game, but figure that's about to change.

I was at the Excalibur over the weekend and I got the royal at a $ .10 machine. I thought I was playing the $ .25 but I take the win nonetheless.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I got one last year too. This one was funny though, because I thought I was playing quaters. It was a progressive machine. But I had so many "Corononas" that I did not noticed that it was set to Dimes (common mistake). When I got it I was waiting for the music and lights to go on but nothing happened! Then I relized my mistake. Anyway, "a win is a win"!
Hit an odd one last weekend for $4k. It was on a 5 redraw, and was accompanied by 2 other flushes.
Although the "call attendant" forced me to sign a ticket receipt, I received no W2G from this Racino. The cashier scanned my ticket and said, "oh, good for you, no W2G". When I asked why, she stated that my win did not exceed 300 times my bet. While her math is correct ($4k win, $15 bet), I assume that she made some sort of mistake.

Isn't the 300x rule more for horses, bingo, and pull-tabs (and NOT for Video Poker)?
Would love an accurate, expert, reply to this one

Don't know the answer to the W-2G question...but her rationale doesn't sound right to me.

Am amazed that you not only picked up a royal off five discards, but that it was sequential. Add to that that the other two lines picked up flushes, and I don't even know how to calculate what the odds are against that happening. Am hoping that the math experts will come along and get to work on it.

The chances of getting a sequential royal off five discards are one in 23,009,085 if not throwing away a Ten.
(47 x 46 x 45 x 44 x 43) / (2 x 4)

If throwing away a Ten, one in 30,678,780.
(47 x 46 x 45 x 44 x 43) / (2 x 3)

The hard part IMO is figuring out the chances of picking up a flush off five discards. I'm confused because I'm not sure how the distribution of flush cards in the discarded hand (3-1-1, 2-2-1, 2-1-1-1, etc.) affects the count. So somebody else can figure that part out.
