First time playing 5 play... made a day of it going for the Omaha Steaks gift card on my B-day. Luckily hit this in the first 15 minutes. After 7 hours I was still up $1070... then lost $600 of it in the last hour. Bah!

Had 3 shots at 4-to-a-royal, throwing away a made flush each time, whiffed them all. Wait a minute.. thats $112 of flushes I threw away. Ouch! 5-play hurts!

I am so ready to see more royal news. Where is everyone? I want to read more about gambling and less about the strange feuds that are between a token few on this board. Is everyone having bad luck this summer?

I went through a Vegas trip, an AZ casino trip and two local Indian casino trips in the past eight weeks, with no royals and no quad deuces. Ouch....

You can list my two Royals now. First one was on a $1 progressive at the "Lucky Bar" at the red rock casino on August 3rd. About a week later I hit another one at the Silverton. Both times I held A-Q and the rest filled in. Coincidentally, they were both almost for the same price, $4350. These were 2 of the 6 hand pays I got this trip. Sharlene hit a Royal at the Lucky Bar also for $1050.

Got #11 Monday afternoon again on quarter Illinois Deuces at Rhythm City. My second consecutive -EV royal. Held AQT of diamonds, and picked up KJ for $1000.

The sad irony is that I spent the rest of the day losing it back on +EV dollar games. Right idea; wrong result.
