The Silverton also has that Tapas thing that goes quite often. Big discounts on good food.

PJ, I'm making my first trip to the Fireside Lounge on August 29. I have a "lower body injury" (hockey talk) and won't be golfing with my friends.........unless I recover is sooner than expected, so one of my friends is going to join my for a field trip..........about noon at the Fireside, then lunch at Lotus of Siam, and then we'll spend some time on Fremont. Maybe we'll check out the Mob Bar.

Our other friends will leave the hotel about 12:00 to play golf, and we don't have dinner reservations at Carmine's until 8, leaving the two of us plenty of time to get in trouble. I considered a rental car, but decided with my drinking habits in Vegas it's best to stick with the Taxi drivers.

The Mob Bar can be great depending on the entertainment. I keep an eye out for when Yvonne Silva plays there. I love her act.

The Fireside Lounge (peppermill) is a must whenever I bring someone to Vegas for the first time. Big drinks with umbrellas in them sitting in that firepit that looks like something salvaged out of Studio 54.

Cool, have fun. Check the entertainment schedule before visiting the Mob Bar. If there is no entertainment you can expect it to be a tomb in there.
Sushi Roca @ Caesars Mall half price rolls ($5). 3rd floor at entrance nearest Harrahs.
Charthouse in the Golden Nugget. Great app's https://www.goldennugget.com/lasvegas/eat_charthouse.asp

In all my years of going to LV I have never been to fireside finally going next trip.

Franki's Tiki room. Fridays 4-8pm. But you must be wearing a Hawaiian shirt.
I learned about one of the absolute best casino bars, the Bourbon Room at the Venetian, on Velvet Rope Insider, a site reviewing Las Vegas nightclubs and Las Vegas bars: Bourbon Room @ VelvetRopeInsider.com

From what I have read, the mob bar moved to Downtown Grand and has since closed. Going out end of may and was going to check it out, guess I am too late!

Bummer, they reduced the days of operation to weekends on my last trip but I didn't know it had since closed. Wasn't the greatest location, for sure.
Ain't been there but an entertaining place that has ASS JUICE!
It's an inferno of excitement!
You can buy 'puke insurance' for $20.

Dive bars man.

The Double Down Saloon is another one of those amazing dives that only Vegas can produce. Strong drinks, sketchy chicks, and the classic funk of dive bar history.

If you're a first timer here you must try the, "Ass Juice" out the mini-toilet. Trust me, you'll make a memory as the fourth toilet of ass juice goes down your gullet and later-on it's heaving into a bowl with what looks like bright red puke flavored kool-aid. Fun times.

Yes, this place is dirty and dark, but it's a Vegas institution! I mean Anthony Bourdain, Dave Grohl, and probably Scott Ian of Anthrax have partied here.

Do yourself a favor, ditch the strip and the join the degenerate masses at Double Down Saloon. You'll thank me/hate me later.
Happy hour in noon to 5PM. "Shut up and drink!"
