Your royal flush DROUGHT... how long has it been?

Bagiant, please explain this to me: you dont know why Fed thinks tomdoug is Singer, but Singer is dealt a royal at the Silverton?? Ok whats the connection, or, what am I missing here??

Frankly I dont care who tomdoug is. Honestly, if Rob Singer could post here without insulting certain members about the health of their spouse I would welcome his participation.

Dan Im not complaining about my win/loss so far this year... still no overall profit, but darn close. but its very frustrating that being so close to a royal with a bunch of 4 to the royals, and even breaking up straights and flushes as I should, I cant nail one. yeah, I might be within some statistical norm... but being close is no cigar. when it comes to getting a royal, the only math that matters is getting the royal.

I don't disagree....

I've seen a friend of mine be dealt 4 to a RF twice in the same day on 100 play machines in Reno and whiff on both.....zero for 200.

Not likely to make you feel better but illustrates what can happen.

It's a 47:1 shot and it's easy to go a few cycles without hitting one. You're not the only one that it happens to.....more freuqently than not. Also, people tend to have selective memory of how many it's been. Unless you do something like Arci and record these, I suspect human nature is such that you'll "believe" you actually had more near misses than you really did.

I suspect money has a long way to go before he reaches either one of my missing streaks (208,199).

I don't play VP so I have had zero RF's. Correct me if I'm wrong. You play $5 VP and max hit is $25. I would think your payouts (percentage wise) are much higher than the 25c up to $1 players. What I am getting at, is you could hit 1 RF right now you would be ahead as opposed to someone who has played the same amount of hands at a lower rate.

VP return is determined by the paytable and has nothing to do with denomination (unlike most slot machines).
