Let's Get Off The Beaten Track.

It's been really boring here on the new and improved Forum boreds. How many of you are long-timers just sort of creeping around, like me, waiting for something interesting to happen? Got any good stories or posts, like in the old "Deleted"? Or are you gonna leave me hanging out here? If I wasn't so old and boring myself, I'd post something weird.

Chafraho , I couldn't agree with you more---I can't find anything except things to buy , very hard to navigate , very frustrating . I miss the old message boards -the trip reports , gambling , downtown , east of the Mississippi , etc . My sense is a lot of people are going to bail out of the LVA . I could be wrong --that's just my opinion .

Got to agree with you guys. New format really sucks. And I'm not posting anymore until I can hide my real name. Way, way too public for a local player, especially since the casinos troll this site.

agree with prior posters----can not see anything positive with this new format-----lots of folks posting to show their displeasure-----looks like Anthony has given up on the message boards--------concentrating on the newsletter,using this site for commercial reasons----so be it------I have been getting the newsletter prior to this site on the internet-----seems like ever since sue casey stopped posting there has been less interest and the forums went downhill----

Donald , I agree with you about your name--it is possible to change your name --I did it , but it took me about an hour of trial and error, and I cannot tell you how I did it . If you go to " questions for the staff " and ask for Tanya Maynard , she may be able to walk you through it . Somewhere on these posts , there was a guy who explained it and it helped me . His post name is something about a horse . I will do some research and if I find him , I'll let you know . Good luck .

Donald , I'm back--I found the guy---if you stay in this subject , go down 6 posts from " lets get off the beaten path " to a post by me and go down about 9 posts to a guy named horserus 1 . He details how to hide your real name . I followed his instructions , but it still took me a few tries before I got it right .

• I figured out how to display username and not your name or email. Click on your name under your avatar which will take you to your profile page. Click edit (bottom choice) then 4 down you will see a drop down menu for display name. Select which one you would like to use. Mine is Horsesrus1. HOME Horsesrus1 Profile Topics Started Replies Created Favorites Subscriptions Edit If your user name you want is not a choice in the dropdown menu... Go back to your profile and change your first name to what you want your user id to be. Save the changes then go back to the Edit button and see if the user id is now a choice in the display name dropdown menu. Creating an avatar to use on LVA forums... • Not the easiest process but… Go to this website and set up an account. http://en.gravatar.com/ Use the same email address you use for LVA. Create an avatar on the gravatar website. Go to My Profile on the gravatar website and select websites. Click add website box and put in https://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/.

Your email address will still appear in your public profile URL even if you make these changes.
