Message boards

I'm all for that, but for the last two years, political posts were about 90% of the content. The members only sections had sub-forums that someone posted on once a year, or less. I hope Anthony restricts political discussion, if not banning it entirely. I'd much rather discuss Vegas or gambling as a whole but it seemed like politicks was the only game in town.

Well obviously I didn't see the post on the old site "warning" us of all of the impending changes. Now that Anthony has re-posted it, I feel a little better. However, it was very confusing and frustrating for a couple of days. Maybe a "sticky" at the top of the NEW message boards explaining that this new system was TEMPORARY would have helped avoid all of this backlash. What I saw was everyone (including me) asking "where are our old message boards" and the administrators saying "Please be patient, the site is new, it's going to have glitches". They were addressing technical issues not simply answering the question. Looks like they really struck a nerve messing with our "precious message boards" ;) Hopefully everyone will find their way to the "new forums" and we will once again have a great resource of information on our favorite city.

Just remember Rome wasn't built in a day. Give Anthony and his staff time.

Is Jean Scott going to be a part of LVA? I can't find her anywhere?

I figured out how to display username and not your name or email. Click on your name under your avatar which will take you to your profile page. Click edit (bottom choice) then 4 down you will see a drop down menu for display name. Select which one you would like to use. Mine is Horsesrus1. Lana, On the top Nav bar you will see Casinos/Gambling. In that drop down menu you will see Jean Scott's Frugal Vegas. Hope this helps

anthonys post was on the old board under General and I think Questions to the LVA. Just click on the header to get the main page, all the info is there for what you need. Run your curser over headings and the info drops down. Only the old message boards are missing which may come back. All of us remember when the site changed the last time 10-15 years everyone was upset and couldn't find anything, but we all adjusted which is what we need to do again. I like the new site except the message boards.
