Resort Fees

Getting frustrated with these unnecessary resort fees! I’m trying to book a room for 13 days in Vegas. It’s our first trip to Vegas. Trying to book a room is ruining the excitement for me! 😩

Does anyone know of a place that doesn’t charge resort fees and is clean and isn’t gonna rob us of our hard earned money? It’s hard for us because we’re in Canada and the dollar is kind of crappy.😩😩

Help!!

This list should be up-to-date.

Casino Hotels with NO RESORT FEE:

  • California
  • Casino Royale
  • Four Queens (they have a $3/day fee for parking)
  • Fremont
  • Gold Strike
  • Main Street Station
  • Marriott Grand Chateau
  • Skylofts at MGM Grand

My pet peeve are the ones who "comp" your room to get you in the door to gamble, but then charge you up to $45 after taxes per night for resort fees on your "comped" room.  If you are a big enough gambler to get comped on your room, then the resort fee should be waived.

Resort Fees- just another ripoff fee that pads the casinos bottom line. I refuse and do not stay at ANY casino that charges me this phony fee. Anyone , in my opinion, that willfully pays these ripoff fees gets what they deserve - free in room telephone calls, 2 bottles of water, maybe a newspaper, sometimes wi-fi access, sometimes fitness center access AND a whopping 14% tax on top of these fees. Makes one wonder at the sanity of people who willingly pay these fees. Stupid is as stupid does.

Bad thing is, these fees have found their way to "regular" (non-casino) hotels nationwide.  It's a tide that's hard to turn.

Still beating the same dead horses, eh, doc? Just waiting for you to blame resort fees on Obama.....

Is a sellers market right now.    Hotels aren't having any trouble selling out their rooms.   Eventually we'll have another cyclical downturn in the economy and Vegas will get hit like they always do....and then I think you'll see alot of this crap go away.    The resort fees dont bother me half as much as the parking.

I think th TI will waive the fee.

On my comped rooms, they did waive the resort fee.  Same with Hard Rock.  MGM properties won't waive it on comped rooms, neither will Palazzo.

leebeau....totally agree and totally get it....fees....charging fees to park and patronize and ultimately hand over money (in most cases).... and then the gall of some places to charge taxes ie. fees on something free (comp).Anyway get it re. the exchange rate when you're looking at an additional 25% on the dollar before you even walk in the door to patronize (let alone enter the parking lot!)
