Room Comp Redemption

I have TWO planned visits to LV this year.

One at end of April and other late September , and wish to use my 'free' Room/Freeplay/Resort Credit offers on my FIRST trip with very limited play on this specific trip as i intend to do more food/shows/ sightseeing than any hardcore gambling.

will be stayiny at NYNY 3 nights and RIO 3 Nights.

I have Free Room / $350 slot play and $400 Resort Credit with MGM and Free Room /$200 Slot Play/$100 RC at RIO.

Can anyone tell me if my future offer on my booking on my second trip in September will be removed or reduced if I dont gamble enough on my first run and only just take the 'freebies' and run ??

I intend to only coin-in a thousand or so dollars at each property during full stay length on slots and only play roulette at each property for an hour or so max each day at approx $ 25 per spin.

Anyone have any advice on whether this will hinder my future trip offers.

Would i be better to NOT use my comps at all on the first trip ?

I would use them while you have them.  I have not seen a casino remove an offer once it has been given.  As long as you play some , I would expect your offers to continue

I'm betting (lol) that your Free Play and Resort Credit is time limited to the dates of your offer, so you might as well use them.   I doubt that using Free Play in and of itself affects future offers unless you don't play any beyond that.

(That used to be frequently told about in Trip Reports, long ago.  Folks actually did the check-in at each hotel where they had FP offers, used the FP only.  Some never even darkened the door of the room; some did and 'messed up' the bed to make it look occupied.  Some returned to check out, some checked out by phone.  I always wondered whether their future offers were affected.  Perhaps any who did that will tell of their experience.)

You might consider playing your thousand coin-in at each property on a single day, consolidated session hours if you can.   Is your roulette play separate from the thousand planned coin-in?

I think you've picked good properties (for the Strip) to stay and play to extend your money and hope for subsequent offers.  More coin-in would be expected at Bellagio, for example.  I predict more subsequent offers.  Whether as generous, who can say?

And, dont' forget to swipe your card every day in case there are 'bonus' things going on, e.g. 2x plus points, offers etc.

As always, JMHO.

Good luck!!!

Edited to say that among MGM Strip properties NYNY is a better pick than Bellagio, Aria, MB, MGM Grand.

Do you have both trips booked? Once booked it is unlikely that you will lose the offer. However, if you have not booked yet it is more likely that the offer could change.

The amount of play will likely affect future offers so the next batch of offers you get might not be as good.

Generally speaking many would advise that when you gamble you don't gamble to earn offers. Just stick to your budget and play how you play. Don't increase your gambling budget just to try to get more offers. You would be better off just increasing your hotel budget and paying for that room "out of pocket".

To answer your primary question, no, existing future offers that you've accepted won't be rescinded because you don't play enough on your initial trip/offer.

You might think that's because the casinos want to play fair, but in point of fact, they used to kill future offers, even if already made/stated, if a player didn't offer up enough of his wallet on an initial trip. Finally, somebody sued one of them (I think it was Sleazers) for rescinding an offer, and in a stunning legal moment for a Nevada casino court (they're all casino appendages), it was ruled that a casino offer that is accepted by the player is a valid, enforceable contract. (The contract law tenet of "promise and consideration" was the concept in play.)

What definitely WILL happen if you don't pony up enough coin-in or whatever is that your offers will dry up. That's why the best comp/visit/play strategy is the "fickle lover" approach. They want player loyalty. Don't give it to them. Instead, bounce from casino to casino to casino:

a) Initial offers are usually better than your play that generated them would suggest, as they're hoping you'll play even more

b) Conversely, subsequent offers are worse than your play would suggest, as they believe they already have their hooks in you

c) If you stay the bleep away from the Slipping Silver or the Golden Commode for, oh, a year, quite often, you'll get a "your absence made our heart grow fonder" out of the blue offer, sometimes quite juicy.

So play your game and don't play theirs. They want loyalty and addiction. Give them neither. And never, ever forget that, regardless of how polite and friendly they may appear, the casinos are your sworn, implacable enemy and want every last dime you own.

Caesar's has been giving me comp rooms for years.I am not a high roller.

Thanks for all the great advice .

No , second trip not booked yet.

I will do this now and lock in offer with MGM ( they might not give Freeplay on 2nd trip but will surely honour room and resort credit).
