Sorry

I am so sorry. I have loved LVA, but it looks like it is over. Thank you for years of enjoyment. Sometimes change is good sometimes it is not. Good bye
The ol' gray mare, she ain't what she used to be many years ago.
'Tis sad.
If only people posted stuff instead of bitching about the old days. Why not try contributing something?

I agree, Bill. The old version of the message boards isn't coming back, so we need to accept that. Anthony has said there will be improvements to the forums at a future date so we have that to look forward to. I'm not leaving LVA and will soon renew my membership for our upcoming trip in a couple of months. Tommy
Because the "new days" are horrible, the old days worked much better, but here I'll contribute several topics to talk about. Parking fees suck, 6/5 BJ sucks, resort fees suck, tightening comps suck and the strip is starting to suck pretty bad. Feel free to discuss any and all. I understand, these have been beat to death, but feel free to contribute anyway.
I find the limitation of topics to be too stifling. Not to mention the numerous bugs in the design that make it unusable on a mobile device (phone and tablet). How someone designs a site in 2017 that isn’t mobile friendly stupefies me. Close to 60% of all web traffic is mobile now. Plus, I know how easy all of this is to fix. Years ago, I hired a designer to design a custom template for a CMS I was using. I got the design, and it had all kinds of problems. It looked funny on anything I loaded it up on. I asked him what was up with the design, and he asked me what I meant as it looked great on his retina Mac. So, yeah, he designed a great looking site for retina Mac users (about 1% of Internet Users) and nobody else. That appears to be part of what happened here. Somebody designed the site on a desktop and it looks and works fine on that desktop but not so well on other platforms.
From my point of view....the LVA has been my "home" for Vegas information for about 20 years now. No offense to Bill Ryan or anyone else, but I'm still waiting for the first person saying they like this 'new' LVA. My perspective is that LVA was the best thing going for years....much like a home casino that just downgraded all of its games, I may drop by for a visit, but my days of heavy play are gone. I learned a LOT here over the years. The coupons are nice but I saved a lot more money having learned how to play, how to work with hosts and other casino personnel, as well as where to go and where not to go. Alas, the good old days are gone....the king is dead, long live the king. Perhaps fixes will come but I cannot hold my breath until February any more. Best of luck to all.
"Parking fees suck, 6/5 BJ sucks, resort fees suck, tightening comps suck and the strip is starting to suck pretty bad." Can't dispute any of that, and can add in general that the seemingly endless increase to the house edge and disrespect for gamblers suck. Casinos are more intent on non-gaming revenue and seem to care less and less about us. There are exceptions, but they're harder and harder to run across.
Agree totally....parking fees just the latest slap in the face for customers.....like going to Home Depot or BestBuy and sayin if ya wanna come in and spend money, its gonna cost ya!!!
