We stayed there 10 years ago and I really liked it.
I loved that the rooms were suites. I liked that there were people checking room cards for the elevators. I liked the central location.
I did not like that there was not a "cheap" place to get a fountain coke. I did not like the Russian? mafia guys that rode in the elevator with me and were obviously packing heat.
But, as a single female, I felt safe. And it is gorgeous!!
