What to wear

Coming from Wales UK and want to know what clothes I should wear daytime and evening time

Depends on your plans, but don't think you have to dress up fancy at all, unless you plan to do a nightclub.  In the casino you'll mostly see casual to very casual.  Flip flops, sandals, shorts, jeans, slacks, regular stuff.   The only real reason to change from day clothes to evening clothes is if you want to look a little nicer at a higher end restaurant for dinner than what you have schlepped around in all day.

You probably want to walk around outside a bit, so shorts, tees, etc, to beat the heat.  But inside hotels and casinos they crank up the AC, so bring a sweater or something to put on when/if you get cold.  My feet get cold so I always bring socks to put on just in case, even if I'm wearing sandals (a supposed fashion faux pas, socks with sandals, but I'm old enough that I don't care about that).

Casual is fine any time.  Some higher end restaurants have signs requiring shirts with collars (versus tee shirts), no shorts, "no shoes, no shirt, no service."  Many decades ago the image was to dress up, like fancy dresses and heels for women, tuxedos for men, in the casinos.  Not at all now.  It ain't Monte Carlo.  You would stand out in that kind of garb except should you be going to a high end nightclub.  I don't know if any high end places require ties for men anymore.  If that worries you, bring one tie and ask a concierge if a tie is required at xxx restaurant.

If you don't dress up at home, don't think you have to dress up in Las Vegas.  Many folks dress up a little when going to a concert for the first time (and mostly never again), but that isn't at all necessary (unless you want to, of course).  You'll see all manner of dress in Las Vegas, but mostly casual.  You'll see brides and grooms in their gowns and tuxes, but they'll be shedding them later for comfortable duds.

And don't worry about having to look dressy coming off the plane in Las Vegas.  You would REALLY stand out then, not to mention be uncomfortable during the flight.

Good luck, and gave a great time!

**My mom's parents immigrated from Wales.  We have their Ellis Island papers.  So I guess I'm half Welsh!

Vegas has a dress code. It's "not naked."

Dress for comfort--period. Keep in mind that it's 750 degrees day and night and if you wear any kind of fancy clothing, you'll be miserable. Everyone around you will be thinking, and dressing, the same way.

comfortable shoes are the prioity.  Lots of walking.  It's funny everytime to see women carrying their shoes because their feet hurt

Candy has it right on. I am older so I dress casual in the day. In the evening this days I do

go to higher end restaurants and I like to dress up a little. The most requirements I have

seen. Is dressy casual. Most folks in general dress down.

Having said that ether way I noticed especially in younger generation lot of skin showing.

Bottom line my thought not much dressy cloths

the one exsception Top of The World Restaurant at the Strat Expensive but

worth it to me. They have a dinner show package

The clothing you should wear in Wales, UK, during the daytime and evening depends on the season and the specific activities you have planned. Wales has a mild and often rainy climate, so it's important to be prepared for changing weather conditions.

Winters in Wales can be chilly and damp, so you'll want to wear warm clothing during the day. This includes sweaters, long-sleeved shirts, and a heavy coat. You may also need gloves, a scarf, and a hat to stay warm, especially if you plan to spend time outdoors.

Sounds like an AI (artificial intelligence, for those who don't know) reply.  I think the OP was asking about dress code for Las Vegas.  How can you trust any post if people send their questions through an AI app?

I've read about those apps, to which a 'live' person can send any question and receive an answer that may be intellectually sound but not on point.

"Artificial intelligence" is actually an oxymoron. Despite all the kerfuffle and hoohaw, there is NO way a machine, of whatever complexity, can successfully imitate the human brain.

Yet.

As far as the OP's question goes, based on my last couple of visits downtown, I would say that a floor-length condom is essential if you plan to walk on the FSE.
