Happy Hours

Here at the Advisor, we've tracked drink prices for decades. We still do, on nearly a nightly basis. Why? Because we pay for those drinks. 

And on the Strip, we pay dearly: martinis $18, mixed drinks $12, shots $9, Budweiser $8. Hell, even bottled water can run you $6-$7. 

Of course, by playing the games in the casinos, you can always get drinks comped (though they're certainly not made with top-shelf brands). And if you know where to go and aren't particularly fastidious about your firewater, you can find bargain drinks all over town. 

But outstanding drink and food specials, including at some of the upscale resorts, happen at happy hour, when bars and restaurants slash their prices.
