This center-Strip, 4,000-room behemoth boasts historic ties to Bugsy Siegel, but these days the only reminder is a plaque in Bugsy's Rose Garden in front of the wedding chapel. (Ben Siegel, reportedly, had a green thumb -- though the rest of his fingers tended to be blood red.) Standard rooms have a king bed or two queens, while the "Go" rooms feature 42-inch plasma TVs, remote-control window shades, a TV in the bathroom mirror, and a separate shower and deep bathtub. On-site amenities include the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat (a variety of birds), salon, spa, and two pool complexes, plus an extensive shopping mall. Dining options are mainly casual (aside from the steakhouse), but there are myriad outside restaurants within walking distance, including at The LINQ Promenade, home to the High Roller observation wheel. The casino includes a poker room, race and sports book, and live keno lounge, plus the Margaritaville-themed "casino-within-a-casino" and bar-restaurant.
