This off-Strip hotel-casino markets mainly to locals, but also to visitors in the know. The Orleans is big on entertainment, from concerts in the showroom and sporting events in the 9,500-seat arena to an 18-screen movie theater and 70-lane bowling alley. The well-sized rooms are dubbed "petite suites" for their separate sitting areas, and amenities include a safe, a coffee maker, and 24-hour room service; actual suites are also available, and Strip/mountain views are an option on request. Dining venues are plentiful, and a free shuttle serves both the Strip and sister property, the Gold Coast. The Orleans' massive casino floor boasts more than 2,500 slot machines, plus table games, live keno, poker, and a race and sports book.

the hidden gem

The ORLEANS is the one place that when you talk about it back home people don't know about it,and its a shame they don't,..or is it,..it has so much to offer and at bargain prices with the comfort you would think your paying more for.The food is fabulous especially their steak joints.You will not be disappointed that's for sure.The gaming there is all that you are looking for,any type of slots your looking for,numerous video poker,etc...and blackjack tables to make everyone happy.The only thing i have been asking to see upgraded is their sportsbook,as if they made the seating area more comfortable with decent chairs instead of those over sized arm school chairs,and put in some big screens right in the sportsbook then it would be a complete place.But it is a good place and they treat you good there,so compared to the overhyped mega-hotels on the strip i'd rather be at the Orleans no doubt

Our home away from home

We have been going to the Orleans for many years. Always have between 4 & 6 nights comped. Same employees year after year who remember us. We come to LV twice a year from Massachusetts. Always have fun here, whether we win or not.   Great food options, slots and table games. Love senior days, movies.

Video poker machines are changing

Since video poker is all we play, it is all we know.  Unfortunately, some of the old machines are going away or being re-programed not to allow the changing of the speed.  This is by far the only place doing that, but it is so disappointing that it is happening more and more.

Great family hotel just off The Strip

We stayed at The Orleans at the beginning of January for 3 nights with our two young children (6 & 8). It was an excellent choice for kids - there's a play area (babysitting!), game arcade, bowling alley, and enough popular eating locations to keep everyone happy. We loved how large the bathroom was, and having a small window in there we could actually open to the outside was a bonus. Free parking! Being off The Strip also kept it fairly quiet, and we had a fabulous view from our excellent room of the mountains to the west. Even walking through the casino floor didn't prove an issue - during the day it's quiet, and I don't particularly remember a bad odor from smoking (if it's allowed, I can't remember). We definitely recommend The Orleans for family travel - there's plenty of family-friendly places to visit on The Strip that are super nearby!
