The Venetian is a lavish all-suite hotel-casino, one of the most heavily themed in Las Vegas. The 4,049 suites come in seven varieties; the standard suite is 650 square feet, with a king bed, sunken living room, and oversized bathroom featuring a Roman tub. Between the hotel and the 160-store Grand Canal Shoppes mall -- which has a canal running through it complete with authentic gondolas powered by singing oarsmen -- there are 20 restaurants, with cuisines from Asian to seafood and American to French. Three showrooms, a lounge, a big pool complex with three pools and day and night clubs, Canyon Ranch Spa, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, and the immense Sands Convention Center next door round out the features and amenities. Parking, including valet, is always free.
