The NoMad Casino is reminiscent of Casino de Monte Carlo, offering high-limit baccarat, blackjack, and roulette, all beneath a Tiffany glass ceiling. The casino "bar," which serves breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, and late-night light fare, is off to the side.
The bar/restaurant's decor features red-velvet chairs and couches, some elevated. During the day, a velvet curtain closes in front of the bar itself, to spare diners the view of the spotlit glass shelves and shiny bottles of spirits. In the corner, a Steinway baby-grand piano is the center of live music, often jazz.
Obviously, this isn't a place to which you repair for a dollar beer or bargain highball.
