Analysis
An interesting response to the latest poll. We're flattered and gratified that the majority of respondents trust the official LVA line, but we also really welcome the feedback provided by our readers, not least because a lot of you are really amusing as well as insightful.
We can't possibly check out every restaurant/buffet/hotel/rental company/strip club etc. but there are over 100,000 of you out there trying stuff all the time and when you share those experiences, you're providing an invaluable service to us and to other readers.
Different people have different likes and priorities, so it's great when someone backs up their rating with a comment/review. Sometimes you catch something on a bad day that doesn't reflect the normal level of quality, and just because you hated a show doesn't necessarily mean that someone with different tastes might not love it.
Since we opened up the comments and ratings to everyone, we've been getting a great response across the board and we encourage as many of you as possible to join in and share. For those of you who responded that you'd like to take part but don't know how to, it's simple: Just find the area that you'd like to rate/read about from the top drop-down menu and then find the specific property/service you'd like to rate. For example, if it's a restaurant, then go the restaurant listings in the "Buffets & Dining" section and you can search for the property either by name or type. Once you've located the restaurant you're looking for, just scroll down the page and you'll see the option to "Add your comments." Click on the link and you'll be taken to the page where you can add your comment and choose a star rating between 1 and 5, then just hit the "submit" button. It's as simple as that!
