Analysis
As always, thanks to everyone who took part in our last poll. Our new store is a work-in-progress and when you’ve been working on something so closely, sometimes it’s hard to keep objective, so feedback from our customers really is invaluable.
To everyone who didn’t even know we had a store, hopefully you’re now aware of ShopLVA. It’s filled with products from Huntington Press, the book- and software-publishing wing of our company, plus the best of the gambling and Las Vegas-related products that we didn’t create, but think are recommendable. These include some of the great poker titles, including the highly acclaimed new books Deal Me In (personal stories from the world’s Top 20 players) and Cowboys Full - The Story of Poker (from the author of Positively Fifth Street). So, there are some good buys for those of you seeking more poker products, and we’ve added other must-read titles, too, so take some time to browse. Someo of them we stock ourselves, some of them we sell through Amazon -- either way, you'll get the best price available.
As above, not only did we listen to your feedback – we’ve already taken action based on your requests. For those of you who voted, "I’d like to be able to buy more Vegas-related gift items and games at ShopLVA," you’ll now find five new hand-held gambling games, all on special offer and all under $50. They make great stocking stuffers! You’ll also find the Vegas Edition of Monopoly. These are all in our "Gift Ideas" section.
Music-wise, you’ll now find CDs by two of our very favorite Vegas acts, Skip Martin (ex-lead singer and horn player with Kool & the Gang and the Dazz Band, who now resides in Las Vegas) and the Lon Bronson All-Star Band – one of the coolest showroom acts you could hope to see. We’ve reviewed them both in recent issues of LVA and are offering their CDs at a discounted price for our readers.
,br>In light of our recent Reader Poll, we’ve also built out the movie section (see DVDs in the "Gift Ideas" section), so that’s definitely worth checking out. If you’re shopping on a budget (who isn’t these days?), our e-Book program and Bargain Bin are certainly worth a look. And our Holiday Catalog is full of other special offers, including rare autographed items, discounted bundled offers, and much more.
