We weren't overly surprised that the principal response to the "Other" option was encapsulated by the reader who wrote in with, "When we go to Vegas it is for the gaming and excitement, not to go shopping. In over 20 years of visiting Las Vegas the only shopping malls we go to are the ones you have to walk through to get to the Casinos."

We can fully understand and respect that point of view, not being big shoppers ourselves, but the fact remains that Las Vegas does actually have some great retail outlets, many of which tie in with the city's reputation for bargains and deals, even on high-end designer gear. So, if you realize you left something essential at home, or you feel like splurging in stores you don't have at home (or not at our outlet-mall prices), or you're done gambling and want to stay out of the heat for awhile, or you want to pick up some souvenirs or something a little different that you couldn't find at your local mall, there's no sin in shopping in Sin City. • "I chose Belz [Ed: Now Vegas Premium Outlets - South] because of the prices and the fact that it’s undercover. Two of the most beautiful (can’t recall either name), one on the other side of downtown and the other out somewhat near the Silverton, have beautiful shops and prices not out of my budget, but I NEVER shop there because they are out in the open. Whoever designed these two should have their heads examined. The heat and the dust are more than enough to keep me away."
