Q:
We've already polled on the subject of slots and whether you think they've gotten tighter; now we're interested to hear your opinions on comps and how they've changed, if at all, over the past 12 months.

| I still get offers, but I’ve noticed a distinct drop in the quality of comps that I receive. (Please specify type and perceived change using email link on next page.) |
| I’ve been receiving less comps, but that’s because I’ve been visiting and gambling in Las Vegas far less often. |
| I haven’t noticed any change in the quantity or quality of comps that I’ve been receiving. |
| I continue to receive good comps, but far less frequently for the same level of play, as compared to a year-or-so ago. |
| The Venetian/Palazzo started a bad trend with their non-comping policy and I refuse to play at either of those properties as a result. Now everyone seems to think it’s okay not to comp and I barely receive any. |
| If anything, I’ve noticed an improvement in the comps I’m receiving -- one upside to the lousy economy! |
| I’m noticing a difference between comping policies on the Strip, downtown, and in the locals casinos, with some getting better, and some getting worse. (Please use email link on next pace to elaborate.) |
| I’m not registered for any players clubs, so I don’t qualify for comps. |
| What is a "comp"? |

Analysis
Our sincere thanks to everyone who not only took the time to vote in this poll, but in particular to the couple hundred of you (we're not kidding!) who also emailed us with specific and detailed feedback regarding their experiences/perceptions. We can't do justice to that volume of response in this space, so we're going to do as we do from time to time and run your additional insights as a future QoD (soon).
While there were all kinds of interesting observations and points made in the information that you provided, what struck us in particular was how we'd receive emails almost simultaneously from different people, citing diametrically opposite experiences with the same casinos/players clubs. Rather than try to make sense of that*, we figure the best we can do is lay out all the best of your responses side by side and let people draw their own conclusions. This is almost certainly a poll that will pique Anthony Curtis' interest, however, so we wouldn't be surprised to see some follow-up analysis and speculation from him in a future issue of the Las Vegas Advisor newsletter.
*Of course, we can speculate about how people may feel they're playing at the same level/frequency but may not be, or that some levels of players are being treated better/worse than others, but when you read the feedback, which we will run in the same chronological order in which it was received, you'll see what we mean... Stay tuned!
