Analysis

Thanks, as ever, for the thought-provoking feedback. Here are some of the other ideas you volunteered:

• "Up to date shuttle schedule and current taxi fare estimator link." [Ed: Free-shuttle info we list currently on the site, but not in a smartphone-friendly format, which we would definitely do going forward. The other, however, seems like more of a job for the Taxicab Authority.]
  
  
• "How about alerts for last minute super deals on shows, restaurants, hotels, or shopping. Must be 'alert'-worthy." [Ed: For sure, it's a great idea, but very tough to do a comprehensive job of all that info; for now, we list such ultra-current deals when we come via @LVA_Tweet, which is mainly followed by locals and which you can access via the Twitter app on your smartphone; if more research resources become available to us, we'll certainly expand on this.]
  
  
• "An app to monitor live keno games. I know there’s a web-based site for selected casinos’, I want one for all the live games. Also, an app to show me where a particular VP or slot game is in any casino. And yes, I would pay for these apps. Up to $4.99, one time, with updates included."
  
  
• "You said to pick as many as we like for the phone features poll, but it will only allow one choice. Most of them are great features that would be desired, so wanted to choose more. The happy hour app is the MOST important though, need to find where to get drunk and gluttonous for cheap!" [Ed: LOL, but they are check boxes; you should have been able to pick multiples???]
  
  
• "I would like to see the ability to redeem coupons from the LVA Member Rewards book from your phone. While the booklet itself is pretty compact, I've already lost it once before and was close to losing it several other times. I know developing something like that would be difficult and time-consuming, but apps like Groupon and Travelzoo already allow this functionality, so the technology is out there. Also one less thing to carry around town when I'm there. Ok, I'll get off of my soapbox now :) Thanks for listening." [Ed: You're welcome, and we'd love not to have to print it. It's just tough when you're dealing with so many diverse vendors, but it's on our radar...]
  
  
• "Most of the suggested items would be a good idea in my opinion. In spite of you saying we could pick as many as we liked from the list, it appears to be set up to allow only a single choice! The only ones we wouldn't be interested in are the casino host locator and the singles deals - we travel as a couple and don't spend enough on gambling to interest a casino host. Keep up the good work. We look forwards to being able to us the LVA app during a future trip to Vegas."

• "I wanted to choose three items on your poll but the poll would only allow me to choose one. Here are the three I would like to see in an app: 1: Listing of free slots and video poker tournaments; 2: Info on free things to do in Las Vegas; 3: Calculator for payback on VP Machines based on pay table."
