Analysis
These results were very interesting, at least to us, if only by virtue of how consistent they are when compared to the almost-identical poll we ran back in Dec. 2012. The only notable differences were that last time, we omitted Sigma Derby from the list, since there was only one game in town (at MGM) back then, and even that one may be been "down" for maintenance, while there's been a notable drop in the popularity (availability?) of electronic blackjack, and we added some of the poker "carney" games that have come online in recent years. It's useful information for us to consider with regard to both our upcoming publishing projects and the website. Meanwhile, here are some of your other picks:
- "Bobble Craps (the craps where there is no dealers and the dice are the size of volleyballs.)"
- "I play 2-deck blackjack. No 6:5 ripoff games (should be called "crapjack").
- "One of my votes was roulette...but i also like some of the new electronic roulette machines."
- "Although I chose BJ and Pai Gow (the only table games I'll play at the Horseshoe in Cleveland), I also enjoy Three Card and Ultimate Hold'em when in Vegas. The Horseshoe in Cleveland ruined the Three Card when they decided to make the pair plus bet 2x the ante, creating a situation where if you play, dealer doesn't qualify and win the hand, but dont get the pair you still lose money. I find this to be absolutely ridiculous!!"
- "With only 2 machines in Las Vegas, I'm impressed that you thought to put Sigma Derby on that list. I love that game! But where is one of my other faves? Pai Gow Tiles???"
