Based on a Question of the Day submission, we decided to rerun a poll on locals casinos from 2017. The question is: What are some of the best locals' casinos to frequent for gambling?
You can vote for as many as you like. But remember, the votes we're after are for the best locals casinos at which to gamble. That includes the good games, the better players clubs, and the easier comps.
Did we forget a locals joint? If so, choose Other and let us know which one(s) in the comments.

It's no surprise that South Point ran away with this contest. Go there on a Friday evening and you're sure to find the busiest casino and restaurants, not the least of which is the seafood buffet, plus the bowling alley, movie theaters, equestrian center, arcade, gym, business center, barber shop, and spa-salon, in Las Vegas. The games are among the best anywhere, the players club is generous, and the comps are easy. South Point is the perennial favorite; it placed second in our 2017 poll.
Ellis Island moved up from #6 in 2017 to #2 today. EI is our favorite as well, not only for the good gambling, but all-around value, as evidenced by its perpetual presence in our Top Ten, as well as the Member Rewards Book, with free play and matchplay coupons, plus dining and drinking discounts.
Red Rock placed third this year (fifth in 2017). Even with Durango as the latest addition to Station's fleet, Red Rock remains the flagship.
BTW, if you'd like to see the poll we did seven years ago, here's the link.
Sam's Town, Orleans, and Gold Coast rounded out the top six. They're perhaps less a reflection of whatever value is left at Boyd casinos these days and more of the presence of its casinos all over town.
We were pleased to see several non-Boyd non-Station locals joints make the grade: M Resort, Emerald Island, and Arizona Charlie's Decatur, all in the top 10.
Finally, please accept our apologies over not including Silverton. It was an inadvertent oversight and if the five comments about it are any indication, it too would have placed high in votes.
