As introduced last week in the poll preview, this new survey is looking for Las Vegas' best dining experiences. Note that "experiences" is in italics. We considered all your suggestions, though a number of them specified food quality only; here, we're looking for something extra that elevates a meal at a restaurant into more of a scene or happening.
For example, the food might be fine at Blackout -- Dining in the Dark, but finding that food and getting it into your mouth in pitch darkness turns it into an adventure. Likewise, dining at the Strat's revolving Top of the World has all kinds of compelling dimensions, not the least of which is how the wait staff manages to keep track of tables that constantly change position. So if your suggestion isn't included, it's for that rationale.
Thanks to everyone who gave specific experiential reasons for their recommendations and to Dave and O2bnVegas for the practical suggestions on how to organize this long list of choices. We've got two alpha orders going: the first by casino, the second by name if the restaurant isn't in one. You can vote for as many as you like.

We figured the Peppermill to be in the top five, but not number one. It's a cool place right on the Strip and has been around forever, but Top o' the World at number seven? Voodoo Steakhouse and House of Blues at numbers 14 and 15? Mayfair Supper Club 10 from the bottom?
Sure, Mayfair is pretty new (and expensive), so many voters have yet to experience it. But it's hard to beat a restaurant that revolves 360 degrees in 90 minutes on the 107th floor for an "experience."
Yes, Hugo's Cellar hands out roses and free desserts and has tableside preparations, but the priceless artwork and lakeside location of Picasso beats a downtown basement anytime, at least in our humble opinion.
And sure, Battista's Hole in the Wall has free carafes of box-brand red wine and lots of celebrity headshots on the walls, but that's more of an experience than Bally's three-figure Sunday brunch?
Apparently.
Let it never be said that LVA readers are more about views, paintings, and dinner shows than tried-and-true and bargain experiences.
In short, à chacun son goût and pardon our French.
