If you’re coming to Las Vegas to watch the "Big Game," "Big Bash," "Big Pigskin Party," "Annual Bowl Blowout," "Last Football Game of the Season that Cannot Be Named,” where do you plan on watching it? Or if you wish you were, where would you most want to watch it?

[Editor's Note: Something is amiss currently with the above poll results. The analysis is correct (Westgate #1, Caesars #2, and South Point #3, with Slater's last with no votes. We appreciate your patience as we look into the problem.]
Obviously, the big sports books are the preferred places to view the biggest U.S. sporting event of the year. The Westgate's SuperBook is not only huge, but it traditionally posts the most prop bets for the Super Bowl. Caesars' book is similar in size, though its prop bets are a lot more limited.
We're not surprised by South Point placing third; it's a sports-betting mecca, run by Chris Andrews, author of our upcoming bookie memoir, Then One Day. And all five of its parties are free to enter; food specials include $1 hot dogs, $1 popcorn, $3 pizza slices, and $5 chicken wings. Drink specials include $25 beer buckets and $5 cocktails.
The rest of the vote-getters will give you a good idea of the most popular venues for watching sports. And to get all the details on Big Game parties, you can see our extensive coverage in a blog post on VegasWithAnEdge.
We're sure some Hendersonians will watch the Super Bowl at Slater's 50/50, the bacon-burger joint on Silverado Ranch Blvd., even though no one voted for it (the first time in long memory that an LVA.com poll selection didn't receive a single vote). It's not a bad little sports bar that opened over the summer, which we ate at recently and will run a review in an upcoming LVA.
With $6 billion projected to be bet legally and illegally on this year's Super Bowl, it's instructive to note that that's more than all the legal betting combined for the entire year of 2018. On one event.
Go Rams.
